AT - Sure You Can by Kayoll AT - Sure You Can by Kayoll
Art trade with *BigMacMcpherson!
Supposedly, Denny's fighting on a boxing ring (as requested), but I decided to up the ante.

If you're a Street Fighter fan, or someone who knows this move, you would know why I entitled this as "Sure You Can". XD

I'm not a Street Fighter fan BTW. I just like that move, it's PWNAGE!

I know it's intolerable for a guy to beat up a woman... what if it's this woman? [link] [link] (there's more where that came from... Surely you wouldn't wanna see it). Surely, you must enjoy beating her to death.

I sound violent do I? :iconteheplz:
I'm NOT in a bad mood drawing this, I am in the mood to draw violent stuff though. And I was listening to heavy rock and metal drawing this... What's happening to me???

Nah, it's ok to beat anyone as long as they are fucked up like that woman.

Nothing short of epic indeed! :ohnoes: Either way, awesome job on this action-packed pose and the bright colors as well. :D Keep at it, pal! :)

Woah! Now this is just awesome! I always thought of Denny as a rather laid back kind of guy, it really opens a whole new window of his personality here, it's great to see how strongly he feels about injustice. Seriously, people like this deserve all they get...I could go on for a while, but I digress:iconteheplz:

The posing here is brilliant, as is that expression on Denny's face! I like the way her whole body has sort of contorted with the impact of the punch too. Really like the lighting effect, how'd you do it? A special brush set maybe? =P

The strength of your lines is phenomenal though, absolutely fantastic. Lineart, along with anatomy, is the area in which I need to improve the most, and if you don't mind me do you give your characters that super effective outline? It really adds a lot of strength to the characters design, like on that awesome pic of Vlad!

I'm still trying to settle in a style at the moment; I'm torn between a Joe Murray-esque style like yours, or a Chuck Jones-ish one. I've been studying both of them in the way they design characters, but I guess I will get there eventually if I keep trying. :)

Long comment! 8D

Not really... if you were able to read his first bio. (I guess it's still in Hank's gallery... good luck finding that!).
He can get a bit bitchy.

Hahaha! My RAGE mood probably kicked in and made me draw better! XD
If the flames weren't there, you would've seen half of her body, which is burnt and her other leg which got dismembered. :>
No special brushes used here! It's just 2 or 3 layers of basic Photoshop brushes (for the flame and for the glow)!

The way you say that; it's so EPIC! :la:
Oh, I'm still having trouble with anatomy, you know! Like I said before, I'm not good at drawing (realistic) humans.

What outline? The thick outer one?
I used to merge the lineart layer and color layers together, then put a "stroke" layer effect on it.
But I now have a new technique for this, which is to select (using magic wand) the background/empty space of the lineart layer then invert and expand the selection, make a new layer, then fill the selected part with black. It's a longer process, but it makes smoother outlines compared to the stroke effect.

Hehe, no prob! :D
Ah, I haven't actually seen that. I might have a poke around for it later :iconteheplz:
Well, I'm very happy you think my comments are epic! Awesome people deserve awesome comments, after all! :la:

Hehe, I'm not too great at realistic humans either! But, I'll give it a go someday, I'm sure. We can all improve, no matter how good we are! That said, yours is pretty awesome already :meow:

Yep, the thick outer one! The technique you describe sounds like a good 'un. I *think* I understand how to do it, I'll have to give it a go sometime. Before, I tried changing the size of the pen, but that didn't work so well XD

It's also interesting to see how Denny has changed over time in your style as well. This is definitely your best rendition of him yet! :la: I've actually gotta draw him for an art trade, and this has given me a few ideas!

Thanks for all the advice Dan! :D

Never argue with a dragonball punch like that. Definitely diggin' the fighting pose and that sheer look of rage on Den's face.
As for that way in hell I'm going to watch it, I already get the picture...some people are just sick, simply put.

AWW YEAH! :iconyeahplz:

Thanks! :D

It's not a video! They're just a bunch of stills from a video (nothing graphic, no blood, no gore, the second one just looks disturbing).

No prob. :) Still, I'd rather not take a look at it anyways.
